Nine Hospitalized In Paintball Shooting Spree
SYRACUSE, N.Y.
Nine people were hospitalized, one after being shot in the eye, after police say three youth drove around Syracuse last night (9/22/05) randomly shooting paintball guns.
Police say there could be more victims in the shootings, which occurred over about half an hour.
21-year-old Robert Cohn, 16-year-old Duane Mike and 16-year-old Wayne Mike were charged with second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say they are still looking for a fourth person with a paintball gun.
Police arrested the three as they drove around the city in a green Dodge Intrepid. At one point, police say the men entered a local Byrne Dairy store and allegedly started shooting.
