Tippmann Terminates Distribution Through PMI  

Tippmann Sports, the world-leading manufacturer of high performance paintball markers and related accessories, announced that it has terminated distribution of all Tippmann products through Pursuit Marketing Inc. (PMI).  The action, which will be effective March 8, 2006, was taken due to the growing competitive product line conflicts that exist between the two companies.

“We truly appreciate the support dealers and fields in the paintball industry have demonstrated to Tippmann for the past 20 years,” said Patrick Ehren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tippmann Sports.  “And, we are committed to assuring that our customers will have an uninterrupted supply of Tippmann product moving forward.  We’re confident that the transition away from PMI will be a smooth one.”

Tippmann will continue to supply product to U.S. dealers directly from its facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana and through the company’s three domestic distributors:  American Paintball Supply, Archon and ProCaps Direct.  “We are excited about the relationships we have built with these three companies and feel very strongly that we share the same strategic vision,” Ehren added.  Dealers and fields seeking contact information for authorized Tippmann distributors are encouraged to contact the company at 1-800-533-4831.
